All rooms have a sea view and a dedicated bathroom.  The beds have crisp white Egyptian cotton bed linen, down duvets and a selection of pillows.  Soft fluffy white cotton bath sheets and bath robes are provided.  Each room is equipped with a television set with a range of stations, a CD alarm radio and a hair drier.  A kettle with requisites for tea and coffee is to be found in the private south facing sun lounge accessed from the two larger rooms with an uninterrupted view of the sea and the rocks.  This room has facilities for hot drinks and also small fridges.  Families with two or more children will have exclusive use of the floor with its sun lounge and two bathrooms equipped with power showers.  Wi-Fi is available.

Our Rooms:

Le Hocq:

Le Hocq at Benmor Guest House in Jersey

This room faces Le Hocq tower to the west and so suits those who prefer not to have bright sunlight in the morning.  It is equipped with a comfortable king size bed.  When guests come with children mum and dad will sleep in this room.  It is linked via the sun lounge to the next room.

Icho:

This room gets the morning sun and has two large single beds.  If desired we can arrange for them to be linked together to make a ‘superking’ size bed.  Arranged as two single beds it is ideal for use with two children who then have access to their parents’ bedroom via the sun lounge.

La Rocque:

This room is let only in conjunction with the other two rooms.  It has a single bed which can be converted to two beds if desired.  It is ideal for a grandparent travelling with the family or for the third or fourth child.  Even this room has a view of the sea.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is taken in the conservatory. On fine days there is the option of eating outside on the patio overlooking the bay.  All breakfasts include a fresh fruit salad using Jersey produce whenever it is possible, an assortment of cereals with Jersey milk and fresh home-made yoghurt.  Fruit juice and coffee or a variety of teas from a master tea-merchant are also provided.  There is a toaster for you to make your own toast to your preference.  We bake our own bread.  All preserves are either home-made or come from a local supplier.  This can be followed by a hot breakfast customised by you from a generous menu that caters for appetites large and small.  The eggs are from genuinely free-range hens; there are no foxes or other predators in Jersey.  Croissants can be ordered, if desired, and cooked ready for you in the morning

Visitors Comments:

Special highlight is to look out on to the beach and the sea.  This is a very special venue for a busy person in need of a pause.  A B

This is a lovely setting.  It is wonderful to wake in the morning to spectacular views in Ann’s lovely home.  The accommodation and cooked breakfast are first class and all down to the detail. Ann and Helier were perfect hosts with lots of advice on where to go.  Devil’s Hole is spectacular but not for the faint hearted!  We watched the sun set over La Corbière.  Forget the rest, just go for the best!  Ben Mor is the Ritz of Jersey!  R & A

The island is so beautiful.  Agapanthus and hydrangeas abound and every village seemed to have hanging baskets of flowers.  We went everywhere!  The Island Explorer Bus Routes proved excellent.  We met the ‘Goodwyf’ at Hamptonne, orchid growers at the Eric Young Foundation, meerkats and gorillas at Durrell, prehistoric man at the Museum and mediaeval knights at Mont Orgueil.  J & K L

Loved the guest room and am going to try to recreate it back home!  The brown sauce at breakfast is divine!  Hire car was a good idea for getting to hard-to-reach beaches.  We sunbathed, ate lots, went rock climbing, snorkled, visited castles (Elizabeth Castle has lots of big guns!) and got lost on the roads where the road signs were not always awfully helpful.  Jersey ice cream is to die for!  Thank you Ann and Helier for a lovely stay – we will be recommending you to our friends.  R & C
